Instant composing.
Instant composing –is a technique that I have been practicing for ten years at the organ of St. Martin’s parish church in Effretikon. The service has to be conducted in a certain way—the ritual is closely defined. For me, meeting this challenge means engaging with the service in all its parts, entering into the flow, and—here and there—creating a musical spot of color. When everything goes right, in the end it sparkles like a particolored stained glass window at sunset!
